Chris 2nd April 2020

I first met Peter’s sister, Ginnie, in 1959 and we were married from 1974 until her death in 2013, so I have known the family for a very long time! Peter was always a friendly, cheerful, helpful brother in law. A couple of memories from the distant past stick in my mind. He was cameraman in chief at our wedding in 1974 and did an excellent job (using technology that soon became obsolete!) but the highlight was when a can of film was dropped and the film unwound itself as it rolled down the imposing staircase of Chelsea Registry Office. By 1976 we had a small child and were living in Vancouver. Peter came to visit after working at the Montreal Olympics. When our clutch cable suddenly snapped, his mechanical abilities were invaluable and he was able to have us back on the road in no time. Ginnie and I were grateful to him for his help on those and so many other occasions, including when he lent us The Cottage to live in during one of our visits to the UK. Thank you, Peter.
