Highgate has lost a much loved and unforgettable character. I will miss Peter’s mischievous sense of humour, his encyclopaedic if somewhat quirky range of knowledge and the endless supply of stories based on his diverse and remarkable career. He was always entertaining and great fun to be with and a good friend. I send my deepest sympathy to Yvonne.
